JOB DESCRIPTION
The way we work has drastically changed in the past two years. To rise to the occasion, our South GEO Creative team at Weber Shandwick (comprised of ~40 Creative Directors, Writers, Art Directors, Designers and Producers across the Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas and Washington, DC offices) is implementing an operational structure that allows creatives to focus on what they love to do – CREATE. These exciting initiatives help us rethink how we structure, organize and problem-solve so we can continue to be a leading communications firm.
But we can’t do it alone and are looking for a Creative Resource Manager to help – perhaps that could be YOU!
As the Creative Resource Manager for Weber Shandwick’s South GEO region, you will be a vital member of our Creative Team supporting the South GEO Creative Resourcing Manager to help find organizational solutions to our creative resourcing structures.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Act as the liaison between account teams and creative teams to decipher incoming creative requests, facilitating alignment amongst teams on budgets, timelines and skillsets needed
- Proactively identify creative resources for all requests through a variety of methods including: internal skills searches, external skill searches with our North America regions and then externally to freelancers, vendors + partners.
- Manage resource needs as they arise when critical skills or internal candidates are not available within required timeframes. Seek to leverage external sources and manage resource schedules to accommodate the needs of the business in the best manner to manage utilization targets while not disrupting active projects.
- Work with both account + creative teams and facilitate solutions when in a crisis.
- Network regularly to identify, interview and examine potential new talent outside of our organization with an emphasis on increasing racial, gender identity/orientation, ability + neuro diversity within our internal, freelance and vendor teams.
- Act as a resourcing business partner to both South GEO + North American creative resource managers. Assist in assessing capacity as well as work across all internal teams to communicate availability of creative resources and ensure high utilization rates across the GEO.
- Work with the Operations Manager to provide creative estimates when needed.
- Track that the necessary agreements are completed with outside vendors and freelancers to ensure resources liabilities are addressed. Identify needs for adjustments to freelance teams and coordinates approvals, hiring and onboarding of new freelancers and vendors.
- Meet weekly with creative teams to track ongoing progress of their allocations, predict their upcoming allocations/availabilities and to provide communications with appropriate managers to ensure resources are available to meet schedule, budget, and quality commitments.
- Identify, report and communicate project staffing risks and trends. Report various aspects of the business and provides insights on billable utilization and forecasts.
- Provide a safe space and be a resource for the creative team members to share their experiences, challenges and needs, to help maintain a positive work-life balance for all creative team members and ensure their career goals are taken into account when resourcing projects
- Assist the South GEO Creative Resources Manager on asset management, case study library development, creative award entries, creative team meeting coordination, compliance initiatives, new member onboarding and training coordination as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has a strong creative coordination background in industries ranging from advertising, production, theater, film, curation or other creative industries that require fast-turn creative processes and operations
- Has a solid understanding of project management practices
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Has a minimum of 6-8 years of work experience required, preferably in coordination, project management, resource management, arts management or coordination
